Woman, son escape Ravenna house fire

RAVENNA, Mich. (WOOD) – A woman and her teenage son escaped a fire that sparked in their home’s attic Thursday morning.

Four fire departments were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. to the 4100 block of Bossett Road in Ravenna in Muskegon County. Firefighters arrived and noticed smoke coming from the roof.

Ravenna Fire Department officials told 24 Hour News 8 at the scene that an electrical problem is the cause.

The residents are renting the home.
