3 people hurt in two-vehicle wreck

HOWARD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Three people were injured when two vehicles collided in Cass County.

The wreck occurred around 6:39 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Thompson Road and White Street in Howard Township, north of Niles.

Taylor McCain, 20, from Niles was driving west when a southbound vehicle driven by 16-year-old Brandon Black from Niles pulled out in front of him, police said.

McCain was transported to a hospital for treatment to unknown injuries.

Brandon and his passenger, River Britton, were treated for their injuries and released at the scene.

All of the occupants wore seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor, according to a police news release.
