REYNOLDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – A pregnant woman was hurt after being involved in a two-vehicle crash in Montcalm County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded around 1:43 p.m. March 22 to W. County Line Road near Gates Road in Reynolds Township, northwest of Howard City.

A Ford Taurus driven by a 20-year-old Newaygo woman was traveling north when she lost control of her vehicle, which crossed the center line and into the path of a southbound Ford F-150 driven by a 21-year -old Rockford man.

An ambulance transported the woman, who is 32 weeks pregnant, to Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids. She remained hospitalized overnight for observations and was released from the hospital the following day.

The Rockford man and his passenger, a 20-year-old man from Grand Rapids, were not injured in the crash.

Slushy road conditions were a contributing factor in the crash, police said.

All of the occupants wore their seat belts.
