EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State University campus police are investigating after a student reported being attacked on campus.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Beal Entrance near West Circle Drive, according to the MSU Police Department.

The 19-year-old student said she was walking when she saw two men at a bus stop. She passed them and they began to follow her, she said.

One of the men then walked up behind her and grabbed her wrist. She struggled and he hit her in the face with something.

A car then approached, at which point the men released her and headed south toward the Spartan statue. The woman ran to nearby Yakeley Hall.

She described one of the men as a 6-foot, college-aged, black male with a muscular build. He did not have any facial hair. She said he was wearing a baseball cap turned backward, a light-colored T-shirt, tan pants and a G-Shock watch. She was not able to describe the second man.
