Missing woman found in Jamestown Twp.

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) –A Kent County woman who was missing has been found, according to authorities Thursday night.

According to a news release, 60-year-old Denise Mary Carey was found at around 11:45 p.m. in Jamestown Township. She was in good health and returned home.

Carey had been reported missing around 5 p.m. on Thursday according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department when she walked away from her house on Elkwood Drive SW near 84th Street.

The Kent County Search and Rescue, Allegan County Search and Rescue, Byron Township Fire Department, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State police all helped in locating Carey.

Officials said using the ‘Child is missing’ phone tree helped them locate Carey.
