WEST OLIVE, Mich. (WOOD) — A man charged in connection to a Holland-area homicide has been ordered to stand trial.
Thursday, Anthony Delagarza was bound over to Ottawa County Circuit Court for trial, though a trial date has not yet been set.
Delagarza, 19, was arrested following the death of 38-year-old Jose Hernandez, whose body was found Jan. 6 outside his Park Township apartment. An autopsy found Hernandez died of multiple blunt force trauma to the head.
Both Delagarza and Hernandez’s ex-girlfriend Maryann Castorena face charges of lying to police officers during their investigation into the death.
Neither face murder charges.
Delagarza’s bond was continued at $250,000 and he was sent back to the Ottawa County Jail.
