One of the co-owners, Camille DeBoer, said after a combined 65 years in the book-selling business, she and fellow owner Sally Bulthuis are ready to spend more times with their families.

Since it opened in 1976, Pooh’s Corner occupied four different locations in Breton Village.

DeBoer said they’ve received hundreds of messages, calls and emails of well wishes and memories from customers.

The store’s last day will be May 23. Discounts start Thursday.
