Shots fired in GR, 2 men in hospital

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two men are in the hospital after multiple shots were fired in Grand Rapids Friday morning.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Ionia Avenue SW.

According to police, a private motorcycle club was gathering in the street for a party when multiple shots were fired. Initial indication shows one of the party-goers opened fire in the group.

A 44-year-old man was hit in his side and taken to the hospital by a private party. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Another man was struck by flying glass and was taken to the hospital with an eye injury.

No arrests have been made at this time.
