COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was seriously hurt in a two-car crash outside of Kalamazoo Saturday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Sprinkle Road and the I-94 Business Loop in Comstock Township, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.
A vehicle headed west on the Business Loop failed to obey a stop light and his a vehicle headed north on Sprinkle Road.
The driver of the northbound vehicle — a 26-year-old from Richland — was treated at the scene and released, but the driver of the westbound vehicle — a 40-year-old from Portage — was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities said one of the drivers was not wearing a seat belt.
Alcohol was not a factor, the sheriff’s office said.
