WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids-area church says its landscaping sustained thousands of dollars in damage when someone took a joy ride through the property.
Pastor Joe Tucker of Resurrection Life Church told 24 Hour News 8 vehicles tore up a large patch of grass on the church’s property, leaving behind a muddy mess.
He said the irrigation system and landscaping sustained damage estimated at about $10,000.
Tire tracks showed that the damage may have been caused by more than one vehicle, Tucker said. He said Wyoming police are investigating.
Tucker said the church is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wyoming Police Department at 616.530.7300 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
Tucker said people have driven driven off-road vehicles and trucks on the property for recreation before, but no one has never caused so much damage.
