Step out to help Girls on the Run

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The Gazelle Girl 5K and half marathon is coming up on April 13, so it’s time to step up your training and step out for a good cause! The race benefits four charity partners, including Kent County Girls on the Run.

Girls on the Run is an after-school program for girls in grades third through fifth. It leads girls through a series of 20 lessons focused on developing life skills, all while incorporating exercise and training for a 5K.

You can help benefit Kent County Girls on the Run or any of the other Gazelle Girl charity partners for the race. Sign up for the 5K or the half marathon, then kick off race weekend at the WOTV 4 Women Network Night at the Grand Rapids Art Museum on Friday, April 11. Experts in health and wellness will be there to answer your questions, plus there will be plenty of healthy snacks to enjoy. The event is free, but registration is required, so sign up today!
