KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Almost four months after Kalamazoo doctor Teleka Patrick went missing, police searched an area in Indiana near where her car was found.

The 30-year-old doctor was last seen on Dec. 5 in the parking lot of the Borgess Medical Center, where she worked. Her car was found later that night off I-94 near Porter in northwest Indiana.

Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Pali Matyas told 24 Hour News 8 in a Tuesday email that authorities had been planning to search the area where Patrick’s car was found after the snow melted.

About 30 law enforcement and staff members participated in the search, Matyas said, utilizing off-road vehicles and Emergency Management Command Vehicles.

The search area was extensive, but searchers didn’t find anything that would lead them to Patrick.

In January, authorities searched a frozen-over lake near Porter for any sign of Patrick. That search also turned up nothing.
