Guns, wedding rings stolen from home

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Investigators in St. Joseph County are trying to figure out who stole guns and jewelry, among other items, from a home near Centreville, the sheriff’s department said.

The theft happened at a home in the 22000 block of Roys Road in Sherman Township, which is just south of Centreville, during the day on Monday, according to sheriff’s officials.

In addition to two wedding rings, an engagement ring and a Dell laptop, a Remington .22-caliber, semi-automatic rifle with a scope-silver frame, a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun and a Marlin .22-caliber, semi-automatic rifle were stolen, a news release said.

Also taken were more than 80 1-ounce, silver casino coins that have brass edges. The coins were stored in plastic cases.
