Planned power outages near Muskegon Sat.

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Consumers Energy has scheduled brief power outages for over 9,000 customers in the Muskegon area Saturday morning.

The planned interruptions will be in portions of Fruitport Township, Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, Norton Shores and Roosevelt Park on April 5, according to a Wednesday release.  The outages between 4 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. and are expected last less than 15 minutes each.

The interruptions will allow workers to safely repair equipment in the area.

Times and locations of planned outages, per Consumers:

  • From 4 a.m. to 4:15 a.m.: Along Airline Road between Lincoln Avenue in Muskegon Heights and East Sternberg Road in Fruitport Township (2,993 customers affected).
  • From 5 a.m. to 5:15 a.m.: Along and several blocks east and west of Henry Street between Post Road in Roosevelt Park and Forest Park Road in Norton Shores (4,676 customers affected).
  • From 5:15 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.; Along and several blocks east and west of Henry Street between Young Avenue in Muskegon and Post Road in Roosevelt Park. (1,862 customers affected).
