Reach out to young readers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The Salvation Army is reaching out to Grand Rapids elementary schools to share the love of reading this month. Young professionals are volunteering to read to kids and share a simple activity with kindergartners through third graders.

The event is April 25. More volunteers are needed for the project. You can sign up by going to the community page at or click on the link on the Salvation Army West Michigan Action Group’s website.
