Man shot in back after party

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is recovering after he was shot at a party in Kalamazoo Saturday morning.

The shooting happened at 2:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Rose Street in Kalamazoo.

Officials were called to the location on the report of gunshots and a short time later, a 21-year-old man from Kalamazoo showed up at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his back.

The man told police that he was at a party, heard gunshots and began running but was struck in the back by gunfire.
The victim was taken to the hospital by friends and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
