GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Sometimes the best movies are the ones that aren’t big box office hits. Some of the hidden gems and independently made movies can be found at events like the Grand Rapids Film Festival. The international juried competition features 46 films, showing April 9 through 13 at various locations in downtown Grand Rapids.
The Grand Rapids Public Museum is showing family-friendly films, including a Saturday morning cartoons block. The Kendall College of Art and Design Ferris Building is the education hub, showing student films, documentaries, panels, lectures, and a production workshop. You can find the edgiest films and enjoy an adult beverage on Thursday, April 10, at the Pyramid Scheme.
