One in three mothers nationally struggle to diaper their babies.
There are no state or federal programs to help families receive the diapers they need. S.N.A.P and W.I.C. do not help. That’s where Nestlings came in.
Nestlings Diaper Bank is a all volunteer organization in Holland that is working for fill in the gap for underserved families struggling to diaper their children.
Nestlings services nearly 20 agencies including Center for Women in Transition, Community Action House, Breakfast with Babies and Holland Rescue Mission. They collect and distribute diapers to families in need through these organizations.
The Holland Rescue Mission goes through hundreds of diapers a day. Because of Nestlings Diaper Bank, the Mission can use its funds to provide more services for its families.
Nestlings collects diapers through diaper drives, monetary donations in which they can leverage to buy diapers at non-retail prices, they also have recently received a large donation from Meijer, Huggies and the National Diaper Bank.
