DETROIT, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Detroit are investigating sexual assault allegations against Tigers pitcher Evan Reed, according to WDIV-TV.

The incident allegedly happened at MotorCity Casino Hotel on March 30, one day before Opening Day.

A 45-year-old woman filed the sexual assault complaint.

According to WDIV, the Detroit Tigers sent out a statement Monday night reading: “The organization is aware of the very serious allegation that has been made against pitcher Evan Reed. This allegation is concerning and we are aware of an on-going investigation. It would be inappropriate for the ballclub to comment further at this time.”

28-year-old Reed has not been charged with anything at this time.
