PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two golfers had to be rescued after a tree fell on the golf cart they were using during the storms that came through West Michigan Saturday.

Around 6 p.m., emergency crews were called out to Boulder Creek Golf Course near Rockford on reports of two young men trapped after a tree came down  on top of their golf cart.

When crews arrived on scene, they found both men were pinned in; one victim had his arm trapped in the debris, the other suffer injuries to his face.

Both men were safely removed and taken by ambulance to a Grand Rapids hospital to be checked out. Authorities say both victims had minor injuries from the accident.
