PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — A man and his 3-year-old daughter were hit by a car after it jumped a curb in Portage Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 10:40 a.m. in the 7800 block of Primrose Lane.
A southbound vehicle went off the roadway near a curve at Trail Ridge Avenue, according to a Sunday release from the Portage Department of Public Safety, and went over the curb onto the sidewalk.
The vehicle hit a 44-year-old Portage man and his 3-year-old daughter, who he was pulling in a wagon.
Father and daughter were treated at a local hospital and released Sunday.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
The accident is still under investigation, but it appears “excessive” speed was a factor.
