Grand Haven AD dies at age 56

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Haven Area Public Schools athletic director has died following a battle with cancer.

Robin Bye died Saturday, according to a Sunday release. He was 56.

Bye had been with GHAPS for 34 years, the release said.

In honor of Bye, students and staff are asked to wear purple on Monday.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 18 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Grand Haven High School gymnasium. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Covenant Life Church.
