Two kayakers pulled from Grand River

Two kayakers were rescued from the Grand River (April 13, 2014).

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people needed help getting out of the Grand River Sunday morning after their kayak overturned.

Grand Rapids rescue crews were called out to the Grand River near the JW Marriott around 8:30 a.m.

Two kayakers were in the water and needed help after their kayak had overturned. The two kayakers, one male and one female, were pulled out of the river by fishermen. The fishermen brought the kayakers to rescue crews on the side of the river.

The kayakers were not injured.
