BCPD: School bus involved in hit-and-run

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A Battle Creek Public Schools bus was hit by a driver who then took off, police say.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. Monday when the bus was stopped at the train tracks in the area of Angell Street and Lafayette Avenue in Battle Creek, according to a release from the Battle Creek Police Department.

There were 14 students on the school bus when it was rear-ended by a blue minivan. The driver of the minivan then drove off, police said. No one was hurt.

The description of the suspect driver was vague: He was described only as a white male in this 30s.
