Man who left adult foster care located

COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Kent County authorities have found a man who went missing from a Courtland Township adult foster care home Monday.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says Christopher Redding, 43, walked away from the adult foster care facility on Ramsdell Drive where he lives around 5 p.m. Monday.

He was last seen at a business on 14 Mile Road near Ramsdell.

Redding has bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and is emotionally impaired, the sheriff’s department says.

Redding, a white male with gray hair and glasses, was last seen wearing a white shirt with brown stripes, a light-colored jacket and light-colored dress pants. A photo was not immediately available Monday evening.

On Tuesday morning, authorities sent out a release saying Redding had been located.
