Pedestrian hit by train, taken to hospital

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WOOD) — One person was taken to the hospital after a pedestrian was hit by a train Thursday evening.

Around 6:30 p.m. ET, Michigan City Police were called to the city’s northwest side.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital. The pedestrian was conscious and talking as medical crews transported the victim to the hospital.
