Car catches fire after crash

REYNOLDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Several people suffered minor injuries and one vehicle caught fire after a crash on M-46 Saturday night.

Just after 11:00 p.m., authorities were called out to M-46/Howard City-Edmore Road just west of Reed Road.

A 19-year-old Howard City woman driving a 2005 Ford Ranger had left the Skate Estate and went into the path of a 2008 Suzuki that was going westbound on M-46.

After the crash, the Suzuki went off the road and caught fire. A firefighter arrived on scene quickly and put out the fire.

The driver of the Suzuki, a 50-year-old man from Otsego, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, and her two 15-year-old passengers, also sustained minor injuries, but did not need medical attention.
