GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people have been bound over to stand trial in connection to a December 2013 homicide.

A judge decided Tuesday there is enough evidence to send Roger Musick, 38, and Robert McCombs, 63, to trial for charges of tampering with evidence.

Authorities say the pair moved Steven Day’s body after his death in mid-December. Day’s body was found in the snow along 16 Mile Road east of Cedar Springs.

Musick and McCombs are not charged with murder, but are suspects. During a probable cause hearing in March, a Kent County sheriff’s detective testified that the pair killed Day because he had admitted to molesting a 5-year-old relative decades ago.

Witnesses previously testified Day was seen with both suspects at their Grand Rapids home the day he was killed.
