GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) There’s a great opportunity for you to do some sampling for a special cause. The Grand Rapids Red Project is hosting its annual “Dining Out for Life” event on Thursday, April 24. It’s a whole day of dining that supports organizations that help people affected by HIV and AIDS.
You can visit more than 30 area restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert. Some of them include Propaganda Doughnuts, Mangiamo’s, and Love’s Ice Cream at the Downtown Market. Each participating restaurant will donate a portion of each customer’s bill to the Red Project.
More than 3,500 restaurants participate in this one-day program throughout the United States and Canada. Together, they raise nearly $4 million a year to support HIV and AIDS prevention organizations in North America.
This is the eighth year the Grand Rapids Red Project has brought Dining Out for Life to Grand Rapids. For a list of participating restaurants, click here.
