No one hurt when house, barn burn

GUN PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Only charred remains of a Plainwell-area house and barn were left behind after a Wednesday fire.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Marsh Road northwest in Gun Plain Township. Five fire departments responded to the blaze.

Fire officials at the scene told 24 Hour News 8 that no one was home when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The state police fire marshal will investigate, fire officials said.
