$10K in property stolen from home

ALBION, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say they have arrested one person in connection a burglary near Albion.

About $10,000 tools and other property were stolen from a home in Sheridan Township, east of Albion, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Albion Department of Public Safety and sheriff’s office served a search warrant in the 800 block of N. Superior Street in Albion.

There, they found items that had been stolen in the burglary, as well as crack cocaine and growing marijuana.

A 45-year-old Albion man was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Detectives continue to investigate.
