RAVENNA, Mich. (WOOD)– A man is dead after showing up at a home in Ravenna and getting shot in the chest multiple times.
It happened in the 800 block of South Bossett Road just after 11:30 p.m. Friday.
According to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department, the victim, 39, and the homeowner who is in his 30’s had previous issues weeks before the shooting.
Police said the victim and the homeowner got into some kind of altercation. The victim tried to force his way into the home and the homeowner then shot the man multiple times, killing him. The victim died on scene.
Authorities say the homeowner’s wife and two small children were at the home at the time of the fatal shooting.
It’s unknown whether or not the homeowner will face charges at this time.
The victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.
