Vehicle crashes into house, driver dies

ALBION, Mich. (WOOD) — A 33-year-old Albion resident is dead after crashing into an empty house early Saturday morning.

Albion Public Safety officers were called out to the 700 block of N Superior Street around 3 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a vehicle had collided with a house and the vehicle was on fire.

The fire was quickly put out. No one was living in the house when the crash happened.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash in unknown and is being investigated by Albion Department of Public Safety and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department.
