PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — A 17-year-old who Van Buren County authorities had said went missing following an argument with is mother has been located and arrested.

Joseph Taylor of Mattawan was spotted Monday by Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers on South Burdick Street, according to a release from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department. He was not hurt.

He was arrested on a warrant stemming from a domestic dispute with his mother on April 21.

It was after that dispute around 6:30 p.m. that Taylor took off. His family looked for him in the Paw Paw and Lawton areas, but could not find him. They were worried because he takes medication daily.

Taylor was in the Van Buren County Jail as of Monday afternoon. He was expected to be arraigned Monday or Tuesday, though authorities did not immediately specify what charge he would face.
