BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police say they arrested one man for a burglary in which a handgun was stolen.

Officers were called to the 100 block of N. Mason Avenue near Morgan Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a release from the Battle Creek Police Department. There, a resident told them her home had been burglarized. Among the items taken, she said, was a 9 mm handgun.

Officers said they found evidence at the crime scene that led them to 26-year-old Colby Mann, who they arrested.

BCPD says it recovered the gun that had been stolen and “several other pieces of evidence” after conducting a search on a warrant.
