Honoring hometown heroes

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) May 1 is May Day. It’s also the time of year when the American Red Cross celebrates heroes who inspire us through their commitment to service and the help they give their community. The Hometown Heroes Celebration also helps raise money to support the programs and services of the American Red Cross in West Michigan.

The Hometown Heroes Celebration is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids. It starts with a reception with silent auction and strolling dinner, followed by the award presentation, live auction, and dessert. Tickets are $100. You can buy them online by clicking here.
