GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) What happens when you get a bunch of chairs, cushions, blankets, and kids together in one space? All kinds of crazy fun and some learning, too! We followed a couple of Grandmas on the Go inside the latest exhibit at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum.
“Just Fort Fun” encourages kids to use blankets, pillows, furniture, and their imaginations to build forts. The exhibit is not just a blast for the kids; they can learn while playing! Building a fort teaches them problem solving, cause and effect, and team building.
The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $8 for anyone over one year old, $7 for anyone 65 and older, and free for members. Thursday night is Family Night with $1.50 admission from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
