CUSTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities in northern Michigan say two bodies found in a tent near a popular vacation spot could have been there all winter.
The bodies of two men were found in a tent in a rural area of Antrim County’s Custer Township, according to WPBN out of Traverse City. That’s south of Bellaire and only a township away from Torch Lake.
Antrim County Sheriff Daniel Bean told WPBN that based on the conditions of the bodies, it’s possible they have been there since last autumn.
Investigators hope autopsies scheduled for Friday provide more information.
The men’s names have not yet been released.
