GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — There will be free admission at a few Grand Rapids museums Sunday.
People can get into the Grand Rapids Art Museum, the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, the Grand Rapids Public Museum, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum for free.
24 Hour News 8 spoke to officials from the Grand Rapids Public Museum and the GRAM to learn more about the event this morning.
“It’s a great opportunity and we are really thankful for Amway for sponsoring this and allowing us to open our doors for free today,” said Kate Moore with Grand Rapids Public Museum.
This is the third year the city has done this event.
“It is a fantastic way for people to come experience the institutions we have here in town and maybe you’re a supporter of one museum but you haven’t had a chance to get to some of the others and see what they offer, this is a great way to do that,” said Jim Hossler with the GRAM.
The event runs from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
