GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A big announcement that will impact thousands of current and future Grand Rapids Public Schools students will be made this week.
The news will involve the Grand Rapids Community Foundation’s Challenge Scholars program, which helps students in three Grand Rapids public schools get on track to go to college.
The program provides academic, social and financial support to help make college a reality for Harrison Park and Westwood Middle School students who go on to graduate from Union High School.
Tuesday evening, the Community Foundation and GRPS will make a major announcement about the future of the Challenge Scholars program at those three schools.
