GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids Public Schools held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday at Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Academy to begin construction on a new fitness track.

During the event, over 100 MLK students who ran in the Fifth Third River Bank Junior run were recognized for their commitment to being physically active.

The project is planned to be completed by the end of May, the release said.
