GRAND RAPIDS, MIch. (WOOD) — The trial of a former Kent County commissioner has been put on hold only days before it was set to start.
Gary Rolls resigned from his commission seat in December after charges that he allegedly sexually abused a woman for years. He faces six felony charges and was set to go to trial starting Monday.
The trial is on hold as Rolls and prosecutors discuss possible ways to settle the case without going to trial.
A new trial date has not been set.
