GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Fifth Third River Bank runners will be able to get their results faster than ever on Saturday.

During a news conference Friday morning, Fifth Third River Bank Run officials announced that overall leaders will be posted five to 10 minutes after they cross the finish line, and all other runners will get their results in two to five minutes.

Race organizers said it’s the next-best thing to live tracking, which isn’t available yet since the city of Grand Rapids doesn’t have a Wi-Fi network in place.

WOOD TV8 will also be running unofficial results on air at the bottom of your TV screen or livestream after the race. Results can also be found here on woodtv.com.

Those who still want to register for the race still have time, as last-minute registration will be available until 8 p.m. Friday at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids.

24 Hour News 8 will be broadcasting from downtown Grand Rapids from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, with live coverage of all the races. Coverage will also be livestreamed here on woodtv.com.
