COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Power was restored to Consumers Energy customers in the Coopersville area after about two and half hours Sunday evening, a spokesman told 24 Hour News 8.
Areas around Coopersville and Marne went dark just before 7 p.m., Consumers’ online outage map showed. Around 8 p.m., a Consumers spokesperson told 24 Hour News 8 power had been restored to everyone in Ottawa County. However, some viewers told 24 Hour News 8 power was still out in the Coopersville area.
The spokesman later called back and said the final circuit repair that would have restored power to everyone took longer than expected.
As of just after 9:30 p.m., the spokesman said power had been restored to everyone in the Coopersville area.
The spokesperson said Consumers hadn’t yet determined the cause of the outage and that crews were investigating.
