UNION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A teen driver was hurt in a single-vehicle rollover Sunday.
It happened around 1:40 p.m. on South Road north of Checklich Road south of Union City, according to the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.
A 16-year-old from Union City was driving south when she lost control on the gravel road. Her 1989 Chevrolet pickup truck left the roadway, rolling and coming to a stop in a field.
The teen was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital. Her condition Sunday night was unknown.
Alcohol was not a factor, the sheriff’s office said. The girl was wearing her seat belt.
However, there were no air bags available in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
