GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Kent County jury Monday convicted a man of murdering his cousin last autumn.
Kyle Wilson, 24, was found guilty of second-degree homicide, larceny of a building and possession of marijuana. He was also found guilty of possession of cocaine, an added charge from another case.
Wilson beat his cousin Brandon Nelson, 33, to death on Sept. 13, 2013 at the apartment they shared in the 2800 block of Yorkland Drive in Comstock Park, north of Grand Rapids.
Wilson previously served prison time for manslaughter for the 2007 stabbing death of a Barry County 15-year-old. Nelson was killed less than five months after Wilson was released from prison.
He is scheduled to be sentenced for the most recent death June 5.
