More storms headed to West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – West Michigan may be in for some more storms overnight.

Some of the storms this afternoon were strong and may have met or exceeded severe criteria, including winds of 58 miles per hour or greater and hail of 1 inch in diameter or larger. Torrential rain and frequent lightning were also possible.

A second line of storms was expected to hit the lakeshore around 10:30 p.m. Those also had the potential to cause some damage.

Storms were expected to continue in West Michigan through the night.
