GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — An iconic Grand Rapids shoe store that closed its doors more than a year ago is making a comeback at a new location.
Van Hoecks Footwear will reopen at East Paris Crossings, located at 1144 East Paris north of Lake Drive.
A precise opening date has not yet been set, but a release from East Paris Crossings said it will be “within the upcoming weeks.”
Van Hoecks, which closed its Monroe Center store in September 2012 after 70 years, sells higher-end shoes in a ‘sit-and-fit’ setting.
With the addition of Van Hoecks, East Paris Crossing will be 100% occupied, the release said. Also in the shopping center is a sushi restaurant, a jewelers, a nail salon, a fitness center, and more.
