BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A boil-water advisory has been lifted for a portion of the city of Battle Creek after the water system was shut down for repairs Wednesday.
City officials said there is the potential of bacteria entering the system whenever the water system pressure is reduced.
As a precaution, the City is advising residents to boil their water for one minute and let it cool before using it for drinking, making ice or brushing teeth.
The area where the advisory was lifted includes:
- Oaklawn between Wood and Kendall
Manchester between Hubbard and Kendall
Champion between Wood and Kendall
Hubbard between Moffitt and Michigan
Wood between Oaklawn and VanBuren
Kendall between Oaklawn and Champion
