GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A car slammed into a house on Grand Rapids southeast side, but thankfully, no one inside the house was hurt.

Around 4 p.m. Friday, witnesses say a car went airborne and struck a house in the 900 block of Humbolt Street SE.

The family inside the house says they were inside cooking dinner when they heard a bang.

A 1-year-old girl was in the family room during the crash. Family members grabbed her and ran out the front door.

No one in the house was injured.

Eyewitnesses tell 24 Hour News 8 the driver of the vehicle was in handcuffs for a bit, but was released. Authorities say the driver had a medical issue, which led to the crash.
